This has always been the case since this forum started, so this serves as a reminder to all.

Please make sure your photos are no wider or higher than 550 pixels.
If they are wider they distort the template of the site.

Also, if you are using a photo from somebody else's site
then either add a text link to their photo.... or
If you really want the photo to appear here, then copy the
photo and upload it and link to it. Do not link to the photo
on their site it so it shows in this forum... this is called hotlinking
and website owners don't like it.

Thanks so much for your cooperation,
Paul

*** This is a reminder to All ***

Please make sure your photos are no more than 550 pixels in width or height. It is your responsibility to minimize the image if you are going to post them on the forum.

If they are wider they distort the template of the site. Also, the larger the image the slower the download time for visitors. If your image disappears, this might be the reason why.

Thank you for your understanding.

For those interested - there is a free software called Gimp that has a good bit of functionality over other freebies. It has some features comparable to Photoshop. You can easily resize your pics for posting.

Here is the link: http://www.gimp.org/

Another free application that can do resizing (among many other things) of photos: XnView

I have used it for a few years and haven't had any problems. I tried Gimp briefly and although it is quite feature-loaded, it seemed more complicated to just get in and get something done -- just my opinion.
