Reggie,

Couple of things to ask:

1) How come the first half is on Saturdays and the Other half after the Super Bowl is on Sundays?

2) Are anyone from around the Stiga TH World eligible to join? (Perhaps Michigan?) Laughing

3) How much is it to join? If I am in Michigan, would I have to send a check to you?

Thanks!

Hi, Paul. Some of our players work on Saturdays and others can't make Sundays because of family or religious reasons. We try to accomodate those players by playing half of our schedule on Saturdays and half on Sundays. The bar where we play, Schanks, won't allow us to play on Sundays during the NFL season.

Anyone can play in an ETHL league date. We charge $5 for a guest/first-timer. If they decide to join the league, they get $5 off the season league fee of $20 or $40. Members pay $40 for the season, but if you bring your own board to every second league date, you only pay $20 for the season. I set up the schedule so that if you bring your own board, you will play the majority of your games that day on your board.

Any out-of-town player who plays in another Stiga league can play in an ETHL league date at Schanks for free. Les Holmlund of Regina and Stephen Klump of Ottawa/Gatineau have played in ETHL league dates at Schanks in the past.

ETHL 2011/12 #1 was held at Schanks Sports Bar on Saturday, October 1 with 14 participants. We welcomed Will Anderson as a new member to the ETHL and Mike Martindale played as a guest.
Dwayne Pankiw will post the results in a few days.

Thanks Reggie!

So if I wanted to play a ETHL Date this season or maybe 2-3 or whatever. To play, would i pay you or send you a check? Because it would be weird if i came to the ETHL in Canada and pay you in US Dollars why over there it is Canadian Dollars. Also, I can bring my own board like you had mentioned in the reply to me. Also, could I bring my own playing figures (NHL or INTL) with me to the ETHL or not. I would appreciate any feedback.

Thanks!

No, you wouldn't have to pay, Paul! And you can bring your own board! Smile

Cool!

And 1 more question so that i'm not wasting your time. Smile Can I bring my own playing figures (NHL or INTL) to the League? How would it work? I make my selection, I don't cange my playing figures? I know you guys change figures only once in your league every meeting. And the games should follow the following ITHF Requirements:

NHL or INTL Figures on the Board
Pledged Rods
Oiled Slots
Gears sprayed on with Silicone Lubricant Spray
Tack it Over on the Rod Pegs.
Game Surfaces dilluted with Original Windex
Lyle Knittig Net Deflectors, pucks, and puck catchers on the game.
Plexiglass cleaned very neat.
Extra Players (NHL or INTL) to replace broken ones during play & also extra pucks.
Rod holes shouldn't be worn out.
Stiga Games must be used.
Goal Cups must be cut out.
Rods should move freely.
The speed of the Factory Surface should not be changed.
Lyle Knittig's Unbreakable Goalies
Games should be fastened to the Tables.
Straightened Rods
Rods Gone over with Stool wool and dried off.
And that's pretty much it! Smile If I missed anything on this list then LMK. The last rule is to follow ITHF/USTHA/CTHA Game Rules. Set-Up and Play! Smile

Next, what is the length of time you guys play? What time you start and what time you end? In the Northwest it is 3 hours behind Detroit.
What is the address to the bar you guys play?
What is the best way to get there from Michigan to Edmonton? By Car, Plane, IfI were to take a plane, I would disassembe (Take down the game apart, find a box and put it somewhere on the plane where it fits possibly? and something the same for my car. I have a passport and its 9 weeks Reg. Season + Playoffs. So for me it's just to bring a game with player figures and extras, show up and play. Very Happy
In appreaciation to help out, I would like to donate extra parts to the League. Goalies, pucks, puck catchers, deflectors, control rods, pucks, player figures etc. I would love to help support ETHL. Very Happy

Thanks!

You've pretty much nailed it, Paul! One thing, however, that I forgot to mention. You have to be 18 to play at Schanks (it's a bar) so you are going to have to wait a couple more years. But you can always play in our West Ed Mall tournaments in September and the end of January!

That's true. Smile Or unless you guys play in a different facility and Schanks is not available. Have you guys played in any other facility in Edmonton besides the Schanks Bar in the ETHL's last 6 seasons?

The CCC and the Alberta Championships in September (CCC) and The Alberta Champisonships (AC) is in late January. Smile

The CCC and the AC is the tournaments where you can bring your own player figures to the tournament. NHL or INTL,

Maybe the best bet for TH Right now is the DTHL or starting my own league to get new players into the game. Smile

Tha US Players that have played in the CCC
Tom Warren
Eric Krol
Kevin Rafferty
Ron Marsik

That's all I have. If I missed any LMK.
Thanks for all your help and look forward to the ETHL in 2013-2014 of 2014-2015 (18 yrs and 19 yrs old. Smile )

Reggie dominant (yet) again -- my 4 goal 'outburst' against him did account for 36% of his total goals against though Smile
