It was a double round robin on the Stigas and than Eric and I played a best of three on his Custom Coleco. I won three to zero and two to one. _________________ The TinMan |

Thanks for the kind words Jim.
We fished for a long time looking for bites, and finally hooked the TinMan. He's going to be a force in the OVTHL. He has also been great in getting some new guys involved. Hopefully we can keep the MO going.
Just think maybe one day all the Table Hockey Leagues in North America will meet at a mutual neutral location and take each other on in some kind of team format. Wouldn't that be the Shite !
VTHL, ATHL, ETHL, OVTHL, SOCALTHL, LTHL, NYCTHA, WCATHL, CPTHL, DTHL , MASSTHL, If i missed your league , sorry !! add your name to the list !!

Had to take Eric to Stiga school last night... whipped him 4 games to 1 ....and the one I lost I was trying out the Kenny DuBois sitting method and it just didn't work for me.
But he beat me at Coleco 2-0 _________________ "We'll meet you in the school yard BABY, for all of the marbles!"-Mike Lange |

The Hookstown Hitmen have just R.S.V.P.ed for the next league night. Brian Narry has a Graduation party to go to ...but Dean, Dave and Mike are all in!! I'm waiting to hear from Mike Spisota and Bill 'Fingers' Yeager, but me, Eric, and J-Bird will be on hand. Looks like another fun filled evening of table hockey, beer and pizza. _________________ "We'll meet you in the school yard BABY, for all of the marbles!"-Mike Lange |

The Hookstown Hitmen came out swinging, and took the other OVTHLers by suprise! You can tell these guys have been practicing and definitely have the TH bug! Mike should have his game delivered sometime this week ...which will mean all the Hitmen will have a game. We would all like to thank Eric and his wife Seana for their hospitality and garage space!
I would personally like to thank everyone who attended and I hope you are all looking forward to the next OVTHL league night on July 12th. _________________ "We'll meet you in the school yard BABY, for all of the marbles!"-Mike Lange |

What a night of Hockey. Thanks to the Hitman for making the journey.
We were witness to quite a display of Mother Nature. Heavey rain, wind and lighting hit right before face off, but then after the rain subsided we were treated to not just one rainbow but a double rainbow ! And we were at the pot of gold , the sunset beautifully as 6 guys went at very intensely .
Shawn forgot to mention , after we each played 4 games, we had a gold and bronze match for the night.
Dean took Shawn 2 games to one for the Gold. And I took Mike 2- 0 to take the bronze and even my series with him for the night 3-3. Dean then took me in a game of coleco 1-0.
Here's to July 12 th. _________________ IT'S A GRATEFUL DAY FOR HOCKEY

I forgot to post about the Gold/Silver/Bronze matches because I was a little fuzzy at that point and kind of forgot about it altogether.
Oh yeah and one more thing... you'll have to excuse Eric... he grew up in WV so his counting leaves a lot to be desired... there were only 5 of us. _________________ "We'll meet you in the school yard BABY, for all of the marbles!"-Mike Lange |

EricK the US OPEN will have to wait another year to see the Hookstown Hitmen. I will be on a west coast vacation. I've missed Dr. Raffertys tournament also by just a couple of weeks. But when I made my plans for this trip out west, I didn't know a Stiga set even existed. My first games were played just alittle more than two months ago with my new friends from Wierton WV. Eric and Shawn. Since then I have my own set and have even hooked a few of my old table hockey foes who have in turn purchased thier own sets too. Shawn has tagged us with that Hitmen handle. Thanks Shawn. We kinda like it. And hopefully the number of Hookstown Hitmen will continue to grow. I tried to contact Dr. R. about the L Ranch Sunday games but no reply. I would like that opportunity to compete and also to introduce my friends to this game. All for now, the TinMan _________________ The TinMan |

The OVTHL league night this weekend may be changed to Sunday the 13th in order to accommodate the Hitmen. I am working on the details and will post the league night date and time soon.
Anyone in the Western Pa/WV/Ohio tri-state area who may be interested in playing table hockey in a fun and competitive environment should PM me or post a reply on this thread. _________________ "We'll meet you in the school yard BABY, for all of the marbles!"-Mike Lange |

OVTHL league night has been switched to Sunday the 13th @ 5:30PM at the Hoopie Dome (Eric's house). Sorry that it's so late and believe me I'd like to do it earlier.... but my kids have a hockey game that afternoon.
Once again... anyone in the area is more than welcome to compete!!
See you all there!

Benej!!! Man thats a whole other animal ...... I used to dominate PensFan in that ...but wow we haven't played that in 6 months. Its by far my favorite game to play on... but its going to be a weird transition back. _________________ "We'll meet you in the school yard BABY, for all of the marbles!"-Mike Lange |
