Table Hockey Photos Custom Games - Top Shelf Hockey By Mark Metzel, METZELOV@aol.com Here's the short version. I had a Stiga game growing up and remember playing for hours with my brother and father. So at the old age of 29, I decided to buy myself a game for Christmas and had some friends over and it was a huge hit. I than began searching the Internet for custom games and found the MOSH site as well as TableHockeyCentral.Com (now TableHockeyHeaven.Com) and BOS. I was quite impressed. I also couldn't believe the following with all the tournaments and clubs. I originally had the idea of machining a butterfly action goalie for Charlie's Men Of Steel game. So I contacted him and began making a prototype (which ultimately failed), this led me to start designing a full size game for myself. I am a tool and die engineer by trade and love improving on designs and building new things. After about a month of computer aided design at home, I began machining the game at work after hours. Then my boss passed in January, which led to machining it during working hours. Six months later and with the help of Charlie's input, and my little brother working for an arcade game cabinet making company I finally finished my masterpiece. It really will be a family heirloom. For those of you who are curious the game should have cost about 4 thousand if I included machining charges. Material costs were around $900-$1000. When in reality I got paid to make it! Please note that I am not selling these games.
